Peer Support in Program Accreditation

On Thursday, 19 June 2025, at 10:00 a.m., Prof. Dr. Sezen BOZYİĞİT, Head of the Department of International Trade and Logistics, delivered an accreditation training to faculty members of the Business Administration, Political Science and Public Administration, and Economics departments at Osmaniye Korkut Ata University as part of the preparatory work for the international accreditation process.  The online training was attended by a wide range of academic staff, including OKÜ Vice Rector and Head of the Business Administration Department Prof. Dr. Mehmet CİHANGİR, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Head of the Political Science and Public Administration Department Prof. Dr. Mehmet Burhanettin COŞKUN, Head of the Economics Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet ELA, among others, participated in the training. This meeting, which holds great importance for the dissemination of a quality assurance culture at the faculty level, provided a platform for the exchange of ideas among faculty members while also contributing to the consolidation of a common understanding regarding the accreditation process.
In the training, detailed information and experience sharing was provided especially on the structural framework of self-assessment reports, basic principles to be considered in the report preparation process, evidence-based evaluation methods, monitoring of programme outcomes, and establishment of a continuous improvement cycle. The training also focused on sub-headings such as collecting internal and external stakeholder opinions, analysing assessment and evaluation results, integrating graduate and student feedback, and the impact of academic counselling processes on quality.
