RULES TO BE OBSERVED DURING THE EXAM

  1. Each student is required to take the exam in the examination hall announced for them.

  2. Students are entitled to enter the exam within the first 15 minutes after the exam has started.

  3. During the first 20 minutes after the start of the exam, no student is allowed to leave the examination hall.

  4. Students must take their seats in the examination hall at least five minutes before the exam start time.

  5. Students are required to bring their Student Identification Card to the exam. In the absence of an ID card, a document proving student status must be presented. Identification documents must remain on the desk throughout the exam. Students who fail to present a Student Identification Card will not be admitted to the exam.

  6. The “Name–Surname and Student Number” sections on the exam papers must be filled in before the exam begins, using only a ballpoint pen or a fountain pen.

  7. During the exam, mobile phones must be completely TURNED OFF and kept in a place not visible. Having a mobile phone in silent mode or similar settings is considered a violation of exam rules. Students found to have a mobile phone on them that is not turned off during the exam will be identified by an official report and disciplinary action will be initiated. In such cases, the student’s exam paper will be collected and the exam will be terminated. All responsibility regarding mobile phones rests with the student.

  8. Exam supervisors/invigilators have the right to collect mobile phones from students before or during the exam, when deemed necessary or when students fail to keep their phones turned off, and to keep them until the end of the exam. In such cases, all responsibility still rests with the student.

  9. Calculators to be used in exams must have only the features necessary to perform the required calculations. Calculators with advanced data storage and processing capabilities (e.g., data banks), advanced calculators with functions such as graph plotting, and handheld computers are prohibited unless otherwise stated.

  10. From the beginning of the exam, all warnings and instructions given by the exam supervisors/invigilators must be followed by students.

  11. In order to maintain exam order, invigilators are authorized to change the seating arrangement before and during the exam. Students must comply with seating change requests made by the exam supervisor/invigilator throughout the exam.

  12. Any writings on the desks must be cleaned by students before the exam. No scribbling or writing is allowed on the desks before or during the exam.

  13. During the exam, students are prohibited (except in open-book exams) from having any books, documents, lecture notes, or similar materials—related or unrelated to the exam—on, under, or inside their desks. Therefore, such materials must be left in the places designated by the exam invigilators before the exam.

  14. Before the exam starts, students must have all necessary materials with them, such as pens, erasers, rulers, calculators, tables, etc. Sharing any materials during the exam is prohibited.

  15. Students who engage in behavior that disrupts exam order, who continue such behavior despite warnings, or who cheat or attempt to cheat during the exam will have these actions documented in an official report by the invigilator(s), and disciplinary proceedings will be initiated against the student(s) concerned.

  16. At the end of the exam, students must submit their exam papers in the manner specified by the exam supervisors/invigilators and leave the examination hall quietly.

  17. Students are prohibited from waiting, talking, or making noise in front of the classrooms where exams are being conducted.

We wish all our students success in their exams.
