Our University is located to the north of the Mersin–Adana motorway and is easily accessible from these cities by road, motorway and high-speed train. After arriving in Tarsus using these transportation options, our University can easily be reached by the Metropolitan Municipality buses, which have a high passenger capacity. The frequency of these public transport services has been increased over time, and our students will not encounter any problems in terms of transportation.

The main objective of the Department of International Trade and Logistics is to educate, through the qualified education it provides, graduates who are knowledgeable in the field of international trade and logistics, have strong capabilities in analysis and synthesis, have an awareness of social responsibility and respect for ethical values, are able to conduct research and produce solutions from an interdisciplinary and global perspective, are prone to teamwork and can take part in national and international fields. The curriculum of the Tarsus University Department of International Trade and Logistics has been prepared according to the views and needs of internal and external stakeholders. With our dynamic academic staff, interdisciplinary education is provided in the Department of International Trade and Logistics. These disciplinary fields are International Trade, Logistics, Customs Management, Economics, Business Administration, Finance and Accounting. Our graduates can work as specialists and managers in national and international companies in the field of international trade and logistics. They carry out their duties by analyzing economic and legal factors and observing ethical values. Since the last semester of the program is devoted entirely to the internship, students can gain experience related to the sector before graduating. In addition, through the Application and Research Center for International Trade and Logistics, university–public–private sector cooperation is established and projects that will increase the competitiveness of the sector are produced. Our graduates can work as specialists and managers in national and international companies in the field of international trade and logistics. They have the opportunity to work in customs, ports, foreign trade companies, all companies with import and export units and all companies to which graduates of faculties of economics and administrative sciences can apply. Do students have to complete an internship in order to graduate?

In our department there is a compulsory internship of 30 working days before graduation. During the internship, the insurance of our students is provided by our university.

Can students benefit from the summer school?

A summer school may be opened within the academic year. The principles regarding education in the summer school are determined by the Senate. Within the framework of the principles determined by the Senate, students may take course(s) from the summer schools of other higher education institutions with the decision of the executive board of the relevant unit. The transfer of the credits and grades of the course(s) taken is carried out with the decision of the executive board of the relevant unit. The conversion of the grades obtained from other higher education institutions is carried out according to the principles determined by the Senate.

Can students benefit from national and international student exchange programs (Farabi, Erasmus, etc.)?

Through the Erasmus program our students can study for one or two semesters at a university abroad with which the department has an agreement, and through the Farabi program at any higher education institution in Türkiye with which an agreement has been made.

What is the language of instruction in the department?

The language of instruction in our department is Turkish. However, Foreign Language 1 in the first semester and Foreign Language 2 in the second semester of the first year, and the “Professional English” course during both semesters of the third year have also been added to the curriculum. In this way, our students are given the opportunity to improve their language skills in the field.
