Dear Students,

International trade and logistics are being transformed rapidly by artificial intelligence, big data, automation, electronic commerce and digital customs applications. Climate change, the green transition, geopolitical developments and the disruptions in global supply chains are also changing the qualities of the human resources the sector needs.

As the Department of International Trade and Logistics at Tarsus University, our aim is not only to prepare our students for today's business world, but also to equip them with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to play an active role in the trade and logistics systems of the future. We continuously review our curriculum in line with the needs of the sector, the views of our stakeholders and scientific developments. Alongside core fields such as international trade, logistics, supply chain management, import and export, customs, transportation, marketing and professional foreign language, we also attach importance to current topics such as decision processes supported by artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital trade, sustainable logistics and carbon border regulations.

The proximity of our department to the Port of Mersin, the Yenice Logistics Center and a strong industrial and commercial ecosystem offers our students significant opportunities for practice. Through the compulsory internship, sector meetings, technical events and university–public–private sector collaborations, we place great value on our students getting to know the business world before graduation.

Within the scope of Erasmus+, we aim to develop our collaborations with universities in different countries and to increase student and academic staff mobility, and to strengthen the global academic network of our department through joint studies and international projects. We also encourage our students to take a more active part in national and international project programs, primarily the TÜBİTAK student research projects, and to turn their own ideas into scientific and innovative outputs.

In addition to undergraduate education, we offer a strong education and research environment with our master's and doctoral programs, our double major and minor opportunities, our student society and our Application and Research Center for International Trade and Logistics.
